The first thing one notices about these cufflinks is their shape; in a world where round is king, cufflinks that are different in shape immediately stand out. We have the tiny island nation of Aruba to thank for these geometric marvels, as the cufflinks feature the Aruba Coat of Arms - hand painted by a professional artist - and, quite like the shape used, this isn't just any old Coat of Arms, but one packed with symbolism. The lion at the top of the Arms is a symbol of power, the white cross that divides the Arms is about devotion to faith, the right-hand quadrant features the Hooiberg a volcanic mountain of Aruba, and below it a wheel represents industry. Then in the top left hand corner is an aloe leave representing enterprise and the final quadrant is hands shaking, which represents Aruba's good relationship with the outside world. Maybe they should have had an extra quadrant for "makes really nice shapes" too?
